Serving as an AmeriCorps VISTA at United Way of Madison County I've been able to effectively work or economic opportunity in my community. In my time I've helped fundraise for United Way to give to critical organizations that are helping the common good. I've worked with Governor Mike Pence's office to create Opportunity in Indiana Month which was March 2013 with the goal of getting all Indiana residents and organizations to commit to increasing economic opportunity. I've also I've worked with our financial stability partnership group, which brings various organizations to the table to work on increasing financial stability in the community.
